No. Secure underground parking is available for $100/month.

Yes. Each suite has a designated storage locker.

IS THERE A PLACE TO STORE MY BICYCLE?
Yes. We have secure bicycle storage in the parkade.

IS THERE IN-SUITE LAUNDRY?
Yes. All suites have a washer and dryer.  

HOW LONG IS THE TENANCY AGREEMENT FOR?
All suites are rented on a one-year, fixed-term agreement, which may then continue on a month-to-month basis.

CAN WE HAVE A BBQ ON OUR BALCONY?
BBQs are allowed on the 4th floor only. In general, they are a fire hazard and can disrupt the quiet enjoyment of other tenants.

DO YOU ALLOW SMOKING?
No. Sophie Manor is a smoke-free building and property. Smoking is prohibited in all areas: lobby, hallways, suites, balconies, common areas and grounds.

CAN I PAY RENT WITH A CREDIT CARD?
All rent payments must be made by cheque. We require 12 post-dated cheques in advance of each year of tenancy.

CAN I SUBLET MY APARTMENT OR LIST IT ON VACATION RENTAL WEBSITES SUCH AS AIRBNB?
Sorry! We do not permit any kind of subleasing. This is for the safety of all residents.

Built in 1996, Sophie Manor meets high rental apartment living standards, with condo-quality features and finishings that make for clean, modern interiors. Each suite has been architecturally designed and features a large footprint, open-floor plan, in-suite laundry, soaker tub and full-size kitchen appliances. Eco-friendly features include double-paned windows, low-flow toilet, hot-water radiant heat and thick insulation. The building also has an elevator and secure underground parking.

Neighbourhood

Sophie Manor is located in the heart of Kitsilano on Vancouver's west side.  

A hippie hangout in the 60s, Kits is now home to young urban professionals and families, though the vibe is still pretty relaxed and even mindful—it is the birthplace and headquarters of lululemon athletica, after all!

The neighbourhood is bordered by the waterfront (and beaches!) to the north, W 16th Ave to the south, Burrard St to the east and Alma St to the west. Most of the commercial activity is along W 4th Ave and W Broadway, but you’ll also find shops and restaurants in the areas close to Kits Beach.

Shops on Sophie Manor's block include the renowned Thomas Haas Chocolates, wonderful Kidsbooks and the Michelin-recommended Folke Restaurant, which serves exquisite vegan food. The apartment building is also within a short walking distance to Starbucks and many other fine cafes, restaurants, pubs, boutiques and shops along the W Broadway and W 4th shopping corridor.

Kits Beach and Kits Pool (Vancouver's only saltwater swimming pool) can be found along Cornwall Street, a 20-minute walk, 10-minute cycle or 5-minute drive from Sophie Manor.
